Sampling and Couponing

Product in their hands. Coupon on their phone.

Sampling and couponing turn a stadium impression into a trial and a purchase. Fans try the product at your footprint, scan a code from the video board or concourse screen, and redeem the offer where you want the sale to happen.

How It Works

Sample. Scan. Redeem.

One program ties the in-venue footprint to the screen media that promotes it, so the offer reaches the fan at the moment they are trying the product.

01

Sample

A branded sampling footprint in the concourse or plaza puts the product in the fan's hand. Venue operations approvals and product compliance clearance are coordinated for you.

02

Scan

A QR code or short code on the video board, ribbon, or concourse screens carries the offer from the big screen to the fan's phone while the product is still in their hand.

03

Redeem

The coupon is redeemed where the campaign is built to convert: at the booth, at a retailer near the venue, or online. Leads captured along the way can be piped into your CRM.

Questions

Sampling and couponing, answered

Sampling puts your product in fans' hands at a footprint inside the venue. Couponing gives them an offer to act on, delivered through a QR code or short code on the venue's video boards, ribbon displays, and concourse screens. Together they turn a screen impression into a trial and a purchase.

No. Sampling footprints are arranged through venue operations, which Sportrons coordinates, and the media that promotes them is bought as media time. A Sportrons placement does not convey the right to use team names or league marks and does not make you an official sponsor.

Fans scan a QR code or text a short code from a board or concourse screen. Depending on the program, the offer is redeemed at the sampling booth, at a retailer near the venue, or online. The redemption path is set per campaign.

Scans, short-code responses, and captured leads can be reported, along with proof-of-play for the screen media that carried the offer. Redemption reporting depends on what the retailer or redemption platform supports, and we define it with you before the flight.

Yes. The board can carry national creative with a localized retailer callout, and coupons can point to the locations nearest each venue. This is the same structure as our Retailer Co-Op Placement and Franchise Placement programs.
